Karate Pig Slots Game

Karate Pig from Microgaming

Karate Pig is a cute five reel forty payline slot from super developer Microgaming. The slot features a multi talented mythical pig that is a master at many things including karate and making sushi. The game has a lot of features, but no progressive jackpot. That being said the fixed jackpot is still a pretty decent 2000 coins. Karate Pig is a high variance slot, which means that big wins happen, but not incredibly often. The wager amounts have a nice range from 0.01 all the way up to 100 coins per spin. This makes the game great for beginners and advanced players.

Cute Asian Symbols

The symbols in Karate Pig are all Asian based, which isn’t very surprising. They are however very nicely done and there are no standard deck of cards symbols in the game at all. A bonsai tree, some sushi, a small bear, one of those waving cats which is called a maneki neko, a gold Buddha and a very muscled buffalo can all be found populating your reels and looking very cute doing so.  The special symbols come in the form of the Karate Pig himself who is a wild, a pig scatter and a gold coin scatter.

Graphics and Theme

Karate Pig is a cute slot at lucky nugget casino Canada. The animated movie style is carried off very well, and reminds us of a spinoff of the famous movie Karate Kid, but with a porcine hero. Karate Pig is a modern slot, with loads of animations, and super crisp interesting graphics.

The reels are set against a background that looks like a karate dojo, which is a room that karate is practiced in. There are loads of bamboo and stereotypical Asian font, but the whole thing comes together nicely. The reels themselves are white, which means that the symbols are easy to see and really pop. The sound track is also typically Asian, but unlike some older Asian themed slots has been done in such a way that it won’t drive you to run off and buy a straight jacket.

Loads of Special Features

One thing that Karate Pig is not lacking in is special features. There are loads of them. The first is the Karate Pig wild, which is also stacked. These appear in the base game and because they are stacked they turn up on top of each other, slowly populating your reels and giving you many more chances to win.

The gold coin scatter is the launcher of free spins. Find this symbol on reels one and five, and you will get fifteen free spins that can be retriggered by finding more coins on the same reels. Then we come to the Karate Bonus. This is launched by three pig scatters anywhere on the reels. The ultimate pint to this round is to earn all the seven different coloured belts in order to enter into the final showdown. To do this you need to play the Pork Chop Bonus and the Hammer Bonus a total of seven times.

In the Pork Chop bonus you will choose one of three barrels hanging over our Karate Pig’s head. He will karate chop it down to reveal a prize. The Hammer bonus is similar, but instead of karate chop our little piggy will use his head to head-butt. You will keep winning prizes in this round until he gets knocked out. Each of these rounds will earn you a belt; seven belts and you enter the final showdown. Here you fight other animals until you win.
